Wells for Kisoro
Twelve new hand pumps and four borehole repairs for 4,800 people in south-western Uganda.

The project
In the hills around Kisoro, women and girls spend up to three hours a day collecting water from unprotected springs.
Together with the district water office and twelve village committees, we are drilling new boreholes, fitting durable India Mark II pumps and training local mechanics. Each committee sets a small monthly fee and keeps a savings account for repairs — so the water keeps flowing long after we leave.
